OUR MISSION:

At Jessi's House Fort Smith, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive center for LGBTQ+ youth ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness. We are committed to offering a welcoming environment where individuals can find stability, support, and community.

Our goal is to be a safe space and community hub for LGBTQ+ youth, offering a place to connect, grow, and thrive. We understand that the reasons for homelessness can vary, including challenges such as family rejection or domestic violence. We are here to support young adults no matter their journey.

Through advocacy, outreach, and comprehensive case management, we aim to create a strong, resilient community where LGBTQ+ youth are celebrated and supported. Jessi’s House Fort Smith is more than just a center, it’s a place to be yourself, find support, and discover your path forward.

Community Outreach:

We are dedicated in making a change across all communities and educating as much as we can about LGBTQ+ issues and things like suicide prevention, and overdose prevention, and so much more.

We are more than willing to help and work with any local organizations that want to collaborate with us!

MEET OUR STAFF

  • Samantha (she/her)

    Our director of Case Management. She is what keeps our program running smoothly! In her free time, she enjoys playing TheSims4, delving into the makeup world, hanging out with her wife and growing colony of cats and dogs, and taking classes to further her education.

  • Lorelei (she/her)

    Is one of our Case Managers! She helps plan enrichment and skill building activities, along with Cyd. They both also plan any volunteering opportunities as well as events to connect us with the community! In her spare time, she gives her time to her favorite local hardcore bands, and spreading her advocacy for civil rights, all while doing her favorite mosh combos.

  • Cyd (they/them)

    The other case manager, alongside Lorelei! They run all of our social media since they’re the most chronically online. In their free time they like to crochet, watching early 2000s media, and hanging out with their girlfriend and two cats, Salem and October!

  • Nora (she/her)

    Is a member of our transport team, our Resident Assistant, and donation coordinator! She is always on stand-by making sure our residents are where they need to be right on time, and in case of assistance. In her free time, she enjoys playing Destiny 2, watching RWBY, and playing sports with anyone who wants to!

  • Leah (she/her)

    Is another member of our transport team, she is our weekend transport! Since she usually spends her weekends here, she usually brings her Switch to play some games with the residents and hosting occasional movie nights! She has a passion for gaming, D&D, and engaging with others! She is always down to give anyone advice, so don’t be shy to ask!
